Understanding the Patterns That Affect Your Relationships

The way you see yourself and relate to others can be shaped by childhood experiences, emotional neglect, rejection, and painful relationships.

These experiences may influence what you expect from others, how you respond to conflict, and whether you feel comfortable expressing your needs.

Therapy provides an opportunity to explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgement.

How EMDR Therapy Can Help

  • Processing distressing experiences:  EMDR helps people work through difficult memories and the thoughts, feelings, and reactions associated with them.

  • Reduce emotional distress: It may help lessen the distress connected to past experiences that are still affecting you today.

  • Address painful relationship patterns:  Depending on your needs, EMDR can help you resolve issues associated with rejection, childhood emotional neglect, relationship difficulties, and negative beliefs about yourself.

  • Receive individualized care: EMDR isn't right for everyone. We'll consider your experiences, readiness, and treatment goals when determining the best approach for you.
